Carl House Front

More than a century old now, Carl House had its 1903 beginnings as a private residence and ornamental plant nursery and is now one of North Georgia's favorite corporate and social events venues. It is an authentic piece of historical Georgia, lovingly preserved and restored for current and future generations to enjoy.

Elegance, style and hospitality are the hallmarks of a Carl House event, no matter where the focus is on its 4-acre estate - from the grand ballroom, to the private garden areas, the spacious gazebo or the intimate third floor with its fire place, slate bar and wood-and-marble appointments.

The owner:

Carl House owner BB Webb is an entrepreneur, writer, speaker and talk show host. With a background in theatre, she has an eye for what is original and creative. Over the years she has honed both her marketing and business skills to enable the birth of multiple creative projects and new businesses. In 1990, she wrote, produced, marketed, and performed in her own one-woman play, Through Ruby's Eyes, which she toured nationwide.

In 2002 she saw an opportunity with what is now “Carl House,” to bring together her various skills by creating, a full service event facility which could utilize her theatre background, leadership, marketing and sales smarts. She completely renovated this 100-year old antebellum home, added a ballroom and third floor, and had the grounds professionally landscaped. Carl House has consistently been named by Gwinnett Magazine as the “Best Place to Get Married” and the “Best Place to Have a Business Meeting or Retreat.” Carl House was named as ‘Best Reception Site’ by Atlantabridal.com and voted in the ‘best of’ category by The Knot magazine and was given the ‘Bride’s Choice Award’ by Wedding Wire.
